She is mostly known for her works with Konami and the Castlevania franchise and has written and performed music at some of the most prestigious music halls and gaming concerts. Yamane began her illustrious career in the video game industry when she composed her first song with Konami on a game titled King’s Valley II. The game was launched on the MSX home computer system and was an Egyptian style puzzle platformer that did amazingly well. This job with Konami solidified her standing with them, she went on to compose music for them up until the late 90s and early 00s. Yamane is considered one of the greats because of her ability to bend and evolve as the game dictates. She is an amazing video game composer that can make great music regardless of the genre.

She was asked to compose the entire soundtracks for the game, and what she accomplished with the series is still talked about to date. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which was by far one of her most cherished projects. The soundtrack of the game spanned over 30 songs, and they were uniquely varied and adequately suited to the situation. There were elements of the orchestra, drums, heavy synths and jazz. She is a titan in not only video game composing but an icon to women composers around the world.

In 2006, she left Konami for good and has been lending her musical artistry to games including Skull girl and Monster Boy since then. Yamane is a composer who has grown and evolved within the video game industry. Her penchant for ghoulish games and her ability to capture a game is her greatest strength and talent. She is truly a legend and a great representation of influence that women have had in the gaming industry touching millions of people without them ever knowing.
